Why you shouldn't use PVC pipe?

 

  PVC is brittle. If you have a shell malfunction PVC will have shrapnel, which can cause damage to people or property. A shell malfunction could be where the shell gets hung up in the tube or the time fuse is to short. There are lots of things that could cause the shell to malfunction. PVC will act like a bomb and you don't want that in your show! Whatever you do, don't use PVC! PVC is used for rocket racks  and that's OK because the stick is the only part in the tube.

 

  Why are your tubes made from HDPE?

 

  HDPE tube will split or tear in the case of a shell malfunction. With the HDPE  tearing or splitting it also helps direct the explosion out the top of the tube. Intern this keeps you and your audience safe. 

 

  What is the inner diameter (ID) of your consumer grade mortar tubes?

 

  The size of our mortar tubes is DR11. The ID of our  mortar tubes is 1.91".

Will my consumer grade 1.5" and 1.75" shells work in ManM Fireworks mortars?

 

Yes. All 1.5" and 1.75" consumer grade ball and canister shells  will fit in our mortar tubes.
